A smoothie is a good option for those in a hurry in the morning or have half for breakfast with a piece of whole grain toast with nut butter and half a banana and take the other half smoothie to work in a flask for a pick me up snack mid morning or afternoon. Linseed is more easily digested if it has been soaked. Fill ½ a small jar with linseed and cover with water, keep in the refrigerator.


1⁄2 banana (fresh or frozen - buy overripe bananas on special and slice into a plastic bag and freeze, they give a great consistency to a smoothie!)

1⁄4 c blueberries (frozen)

2 T protein powder (or 1/2 block silken tofu)

1 ds flaxseed oil (omit for men)

1 T soaked linseed

1 t cinnamon

250 ml milk option


Blend together and serve.
